Past

Long before Earth had been created countless other worlds have risen into and fallen out of existence. There were some worlds that continued to prosper long after Earth had taken shape, but there were worlds that found themselves upon the verge of collapse when the very particles of earth started to gather. Syndrii's father came from one of these worlds. Upon his home planet there were two species of sentient beings. The first were--more or less--human. They dwelled upon the surface.

The second was his father's people, whom lived underground. His father's people shared many characteristics with demons, and as such many earthling might mistake them as such---especially incubi or succubi variety. Like these demons, they fed off of sex, but they consumed the energy created by the act rather than consuming pieces of the soul as many legends like to depict these demons doing. The two species of his father's home world lived together in relatively peace for countless years, but as some might know everything must come to an end.

For his father's home world, the end came around the time a young queen named Adiana took the throne. It was not her fault that war broke out between her people and those upon the surface. A queen or king cannot technically rule until they passed a test, and Adiana had not taken it. This left the council in charge--including her husband. He was the leader among them, and was known for his cruelty---especially to those upon the surface. It was his treatment of those above that started the war. Adiana learning of the fire her husband had started killed him in an attempt to keep it from spreading further, and demanded that she be allowed to take the test after the deed was done.

The council did not wish for her to take it. They knew that if she took and passed the test that they would not be able to continue to use her as a puppet, but they ultimately decided that she wouldn't pass the test and agreed to allow her to take it. The thing with the test is that it could only be taken once, and it couldn't be taken again if the one taking it failed. The council believed Adiana's young age would guarantee a failure, but they were proven wrong. Adiana passed the test at the youngest age in the history of her people.

She tried to fix relations between her people and the surfacers with no avail. The damage was already done. Tensions between the two kept growing worse and worse until it threaten to tear the entire planet apart. Adiana and her people decided to leave their home world. They hoped that their decision to leave would prevent the planet from collapsing upon itself. They wandered the cosmos for a time until they found themselves upon earth. It was here they built a second home.

There kingdom was built deep underground, and unlike their home planet they kept their existence hidden from those upon the surface. Syndrii's father, whom had been one of the councils members that tried to control Adiana, decided to leave his people for the surface. He found that he no longer wanted to be involved in the politics of his people nor did he wanted to continue to live among them. He wandered the earth for many years until he met Syndrii's mother.

His mother had been an angel, and one that came into being long before the creation of man. She--like so many of her fellow angels--were jealous of mankind when they first came into existence, but over time she came to love them. She wanted nothing more than to protect them from harm, and she did just that for quite some time until the day she met Syndrii's father. It was love at first sight. His mother decided to abandon her post as a guardian angel to live with with his father in a cabin in the woods. It was here that Syndrii was born.

He was the apple of their eyes. The very center of their universe, and they raised him within the woods. It was a peaceful existence, and one they lived until he was nine years old. It was here that their happy world came crashing down. A band of humans found their way into the woods that Syndrii's family had made their home. This band of human had developed a dislike for anything supernatural, and traveled the world, slaughtering anything that wasn't human that crossed their path.

Upon seeing Syndrii and his parents, these humans immediately moved to cleanse the world of them.
His parents tried to escape these humans by fleeing the woods, but the humans always seemed to be one step behind them. His parents realized the only way they would Syndrii was to fight the humans. They managed to shove Syndrii into a log before the humans caught up with them. His parents told him to stay within that log, and not make a sound no matter how horrible things got on the outside. He watched his parents be slaughtered from the log. Their deaths were not a clean one. The humans made sure that his parents suffered. Once they finished killing his parents, the humans looked around for him.

For some reason, they didn't believe that hole that Syndrii had crawled into was big enough for anyone to crawl into, and eventually they left the woods. Syndrii stayed inside the log until he was certain they weren't coming back, crawled out of it and buried his parents body. He left the only home he had ever known, and went into the world of humans. It was here he learned the cruelty of those men were not an isolated event. None were as determined to slaughter him as his parents' killers had been, but their hatred for him were crystal clear. They tried to use the fact that he wasn't human to justify their treatment of him, and Syndrii always being on the receiving end of this cruelty did whatever he could to escape it--including killing them.

He begun to believe that he wouldn't find an ounce of kindness among humanity. That is until he met her. She was a hunter--a defender of humanity against the supernatural, but she did not believe being a supernatural automatically made someone evil. They became fast friends, and eventually Syndrii fell in love with her. He grew guilty over the things he had done in the name of survival--including taking human lives. He decided to come clean with all the horrors he had done, believing that she would understand and forgive him for those crimes. However, when Syndrii shared is tale that wasn't what happened.

Instead of forgiveness, Syndrii found a look of horror and even hatred within her eyes after he finished telling his tale. She called him a monster when the words finally escaped her lips, and claimed that he didn't deserve the release of death. He should be forced to carry the guilt of what he had done for the rest of time. She cursed him to wander in solitude alone, and that he will never know the comfort of another. She cursed him to never be loved by anyone. He pleaded with her for forgiveness, claiming that he loved her and that she loved him. It was within that moment that she revealed to him that her feelings had been a lie. She could never love a monster, and that what he was. That what all supernaturals were.

Outraged by those words, Syndrii accepted an idea that had been planted inside his mind ever since his parents had been killed, and the cruelty of humans since that day only caused it to grow. He decided that humans were nothing more than pathetic little monkeys at best, and at their worse they were a plague that needed to be eradicated. He started the earth cleansing by slaughtering her, and than wander the earth for some time, killing any human that he came across with no remorse over what he had done. He eventually found him way into heaven, and stayed there for a time.

That is until Lucifer's rebellion. Many believe that he had started the war because he was jealous of humanity, but that was not true. Lucifer had loved the human race. He had loved them so much that he, like some many other angels, had married and reproduced with a human. A decision that the higher authority within heaven didn't agree with, and they decreed that any human that married an angel and any children produced from this union were to be executed. Angels flocked to Lucifer's side. Some joined because they supported his cause while others joined for various other reasons. Syndrii joined because he thought the chaos of the war would be a good opportunity to slaughter a great numbers of humans, and cleanse the world of their dirt.

Many angels were killed during the struggle, and a great many more were cast from heaven. One such angel was Cira. She was the leader of the Malakim, and Syndrii's lover. He had many lovers within heaven--especially within the higher ranks. One of his lovers had been Fallyn--leader of the Zodiacs, guardians of the gates of heaven. They had ended their relationship long before Lucifer's war started. Anyway, Cira and he met one night alone. She could have attacked him--attempted to kill him. His curse would have made such action pointless, but the opportunity was still there. She didn't, or perhaps she had merely hesitated. whatever the case, he blasted her and send her spiraling down onto the earth. He could have sent enough force within that blast to kill her, but he merely wanted to remove her from the picture while he finished cleansing the world of those pathetic monkeys.

Lucifer's war eventually came to an end. The one known as the Morning Star armies were defeated, and Lucifer and all his supporters were cast from heaven--including Syndrii. He found himself once again wandering the earth among the very dirt that he hated. It was around this time that the darkness decided to create a race called the Dark Ones. She had seen the love humanity bore for their creator, and wished to know that kinda love. However, humans proving themselves incapable of not hating anything that weren't like them ended up killing the queen and king of the Dark Ones. The creator of man became outraged over this action, and decided to take the sun away from them--casting the world into darkness. It is a time referred as the true dark ages by those that remember it.

The removal of the sun allowed the Dark Ones to take control, and eventually mankind begun to worship the Dark Ones as gods. They became cruel gods that did many horrible things to the race of man. Angel seeing this cruelty wished to protect humans against it, but they found they couldn't do this in the world of darkness. So, they begged God to protect humans against the tyranny of the Dark Ones. Moved by their pleas, he traveled into hell and made a deal with demons. He told them that if they agreed to act as the protector of mankind that they would provide with nourishment. The demons agreed, and for a time humans were free of the oppression of a cruel overlord.

This did not last. Over time, the demons became just as cruel to their charges as the Dark Ones had been. Humans endured this for awhile until a human girl by the name of Sara Jean climbed the top of the tallest mountain, and pleaded with God to give them the tool that they could use to protect themselves. In response to this plea, he return the sun back to the earth. The return of the sun caused the Dark Ones to flee into another realm, but it had no impact upon the demons. They terrorized the race of man just as they had before the sun came back. However, the sun's return allowed angels to swoop down upon the earth and protect humans at to the full extent of their abilities.

A great war broke out between angels and demons, but try as they might angels were unable to gain the upper hand against the denizens of hell. In fact, it appeared that demons were going to win the war. God decided to give the race of man the trump card they needed. He created Sol--a girl that was to be justice. Everything went according to plan at first, but after her lover was killed by a demon that sense of justice turned into vengeance. She traveled the world killing every demon in her path. Others used this as a chance to kill whomever they wanted, and blamed Sol for the crime.

Eventually, Sol held a meeting with God and the King of demons, and the covenant of Heaven and Hell was written. It was a document that decreed how angels and demons should behave upon the realm of man, and anyone who broke this rule would be sent back to their respected realm. Syndrii had not gotten himself involved with the strife that had plagued the Earth since the creation of the Dark Ones. He found amusement in how both the dark ones and demons treated humans during this time. They were getting a taste of their own medicine, and he believed that if they had to continue living underneath the thumb of either overlord were more than they deserved. However, when humans were freed from the control of both species he didn't care either.

Since he had been banished from heaven, Sol's covenant had no impact upon him, and he traveled the earth doing what he had before the covenant had been put into place. It was during this time that he encountered a group of demons he formed an alliance with, and begun to make plans for world domination. It was during this time that Syndrii gave up his quest to slaughter every human he came across. No, he decided that it would be much more amusing to wrap the pathetic little monkeys around his finger, control them completely and make they realize that the idea of free will was not as absolute as they believed.

Humans forget about the true dark ages and any event associated with it. They moved on to create the empire of the modern world. Many of which, are considered ancient by the standards of human, but if they had remembered the true dark ages they would realized just how recent the construction of The Great Pyramid of Giza really are in the scheme of things. The years drifted past until Syndrii crossed path with Cira once again. He had kept an eye on her since he cast her from heaven, but had been careful not to let her know that he had been watching her.

He had actually fallen in love with her, but he knew that his curse prevented her from ever feeling the same way about him. So, in order to save himself the pain of her rejection he tried to keep his distance from her. Cira had fallen in love with what she had believed was a human male, and started a family with him. This family had been slaughtered, and rumors claimed that Syndrii had been the one to kill them. He would never kill her family--even when he had traveled the earth slaughtering any humans that crossed his path he wouldn't have killed them.

It seemed that she believed these rumors, and Syndrii became outraged. He didn't like being blamed for a crime he didn't committed, and he felt betrayed by it--even through, deep down inside he knew that she would believe the rumors. So, he decided to cut all ties with her, cut his heart out of his chest and pretend he didn't love her. In order to do that, he had to avoid her because he knew that if he even stand near her that he would grab his heart and put it back inside his chest. The years drifted by until one of his demons allies found a human girl that resembled a pet the demon had once upon a time. The only difference between the pet and the girl was their gender. The demon's pet had been male while--as should be obvious--the girl was female.

Syndrii showed interest in the girl. Feelings that the demon encouraged when he learned that the reincarnation of his pet would be conceived by the union between Syndrii and the girl. It didn't take long for the female to conceive his child, and upon hearing the news Syndrii had the urge to take the female somewhere isolate, live with and pretend they were one happy family. However, the demon quickly put an end to that. He reminded Syndrii of his curse. He was never to be happy, and more than likely his attempt to pretend he can will result in his son being killed.

If he truly wished to protect his son than he should allow the demon to claim ownership over him. After all, there are many who will wish to kill the child for being a half breed, and than there was Cira who will slaughter his son for revenge sake. Even if someone wasn't trying to kill his child, there will be those trying to claim him. Half breeds were highly cultivated by the demonic community. Demons would do virtually anything to gain possession of a half breed, and the only sure way to keep this from happening was to allow a demon that they didn't want to cross to claim his child.

The demon didn't know the truth of Syndrii's heritage--that he was in fact a half breed himself. He believed that Syndrii was completely angel, or as the case was a fallen angel. A fact that Syndrii had no intention of rectify. However, in spite this he knew that he couldn't protect his son against the world alone. So, he agreed to allow the demon to claim his child. The months drifted by until his son was born. He fell in love with his beautiful child the very moment he laid his eyes upon him, and once again he was filled with the urge to flee with his son and his mother and live somewhere isolated.

However, like before the desire was rendered silent. The mother of his son hated Syndrii and had no desire to allow him to have the delusion of a happily ever after with her and her son. She didn't want her son to be owned by anyone--including the demon--and if it was the last thing she did she was going to escape with her child. It was a plan she would never see come to life because she was made to believe that her child had died. The demon decided that the child needed to be broken, trained to be so obedient that the very idea of rebellion simply didn't exist and there was an establishment that specialize in such training that the demon wanted the boy sent to.

Syndrii didn't know if such actions needed to be taken for his son's protection, but ultimately agreed because he believed that any decision he will make for his son's sake will only cause his child unspeakable grief. He did not visit his son for twelve years while he was at that place. He believed that he didn't deserve to have contact with the boy, and the mere act of his visit would put his son's life in danger. However, one day curiosity got the best of him, and he paid his child a visit.

He was appalled by what he saw. His son was being forced to endure the very sufferings that Syndrii had wanted to protect him against. It seemed that he had been right that any decisions he made for his son's sake will only result in extreme pain for his child, but decided that he can fix that mistake. He can give his son the happiness he deserve, or at least give him the chance to discover that happiness was possible for him. He lent his son his powers, and watched as his beautiful boy slaughtered the source of his torture. He watched his son be adopted into a loving family, and make a life for himself away from his past.

Present

Six years has passed since the day Syndrii lent his powers to his son, and it is clear that the horrors of what his son had endured in that place still haunts him. The only thing Syndrii can hope is that more people like his adopted parents come along and smooth away the damage that his failure as a father caused his boy. There is a part of him that believes if the demon learns of his son's location that he will help him collect the boy instead of helping his child escape. That is why he doesn't mention to the demon that he knows where his son is. He cannot fail the boy again if he neglects to mention his location.

He, also, has not allowed anyone to know that he had helped his son escape. This wasn't done because he believed if the demon caught wind of this that he wouldn't believe Syndrii had no idea where his child was, but rather because he didn't want anyone to know that he was capable of such acts of kindness--even for his own flesh and blood. In order to keep others away from the scent, Syndrii had preformed many horrible crimes against humans--including unspeakable tests. This fact alone isn't anything new as he had done such things long before he helped his son, but he has become extremely cruel even by his normal standards.
